Cover of the Day: No One Else Can Have You

No One Else Can Have You

This is one of the most unique covers I've ever seen! When I first saw this I had so many questions! And now I just want to read it more than ever. I love the way it looks like an old school sweater that you would be embarrassed to read in public. I also love how one of the reindeer (Moose?) is hung . It shows that the book will be a thriller and in my mind its telling me to expect some crazy things to happen. And with the title, it makes it even more creepy! I can't wait to read this!

Cover of the Day: Side Effects May Vary

15728577-side-effects-may-vary.jpg
Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy

What I love most about this cover is the font and the different colors of the title against the black background. It makes it look like a super fun book, but reading the synopsis you see that its actually about something very serious. I also love the little pictures that are featured on and next to the words. It gives a clue as to what some of the things she wants to do. I'm curious as to how those things (and all the others) end up! Lastly, the tagline?! Tell me that doesn't sound intriguing!!!!

Cover of the Day: The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith

The Geography of You and Me

I love that this cover is like her other ones with the black, white, and gray theme and then having another color to make it pop even more. Especially the blue stars! I love that this one has more black and the blue is like electric which is really pretty together. And of course, the couple canoodling there on the sky line is nice to look at too. As far as the font, I love everything about it. How big it is, the colors, and that it matches the other books by her. Here's to another pretty book to add to my shelf!

Cover of the Day: A Really Awesome Mess

A Really Awesome Mess
A Really Awesome Mess by Trish Cook and Brendan Halpin

I'm not exactly sure what this has to do with the story because I haven't read it, but I still love this cover. It sounds like it'll be a very serious story, but this is still a really fun cover. I wanted to read it before I saw the synopsis just because I wanted to know who was eating their lunch off these things lol I also love the colors. The yellow is super bright and is asking for attention. The white and silver are stand out clean against everything else. It also took me back to my childhood, I used these all the time in school. I also love the font of the title and author's names. Just because it looks kind of bad... But that's the point right? The title is "A Really Awesome Mess".....

Cover of the Day: These Broken Stars

These Broken Stars (Starbound, #1)

I absolutely love the colors in this one. They stand out against each other and they all go so beautifully together. Then there's the way the two people are looking at each other and reaching for each other. With the starry background it makes you wonder if they're lost in space.  Lastly, I love the font. The big letters don't take up a lot of room because they are skinny as well. I also love the way the authors name is small at the bottom. It doesn't take away from the rest of the cover.

Cover of the Day: Tumble and Fall by Alexandra Coutts

Tumble & Fall

I love that this couple looks so in love. Like they don't want to be apart ever. My favorite part is how he's all snuggled to her face and she's looking straight ahead into the camera. I also love all the glowy things around them. It makes them look all luminous. Lastly, I love the font choice for the title. A lot of people may say that the ampersand is big or annoying (that's what my mom said smh) but I find it cool how she's looking through it.

Btw, sorry I forgot about the post last Saturday. I was out of town and it just completely slipped my mind!

Cover of the day: The Brokenhearted by Amelia Kahaney

The Brokenhearted

What is there NOT to love about this cover?! It has a steampunk feel and it looks creepy! My favorite part is the gadgets. I must admit, I would love to see how they work. And the colors?! Hello creep factor! They added to the creep factor with the tagline, and it makes me love it even more.

Cover of the Day: Teardrop

Teardrop (Teardrop, #1)

What I love most about this cover is the amazing color scheme. I think I've said before how much I love purple and blue together. Also, I don't normally love covers with girls in dresses on them, but in this one her dress is made of WATER. Very. Cool. And also very unique. I also love the skyline for the city back in the background. It keeps the girl as the main focus but doesn't make the rest of it boring.

Cover of the Day: Crash Into You by Katie McGarry

Crash into You (Pushing the Limits, #3)

Looking through the comments on Goodreads, this newly released cover is already a favorite amongst the blogging community. Justly so seeing as the cover is indeed gorgeous. Isiah looks super hot and they look so cute cuddling together in the backseat of  the car. I love that we get to see Isiah's sweet side even though we know from previous books that he's kind of a bad by with a soft spot only for one person. I love that this cover shows both his bad side with the tattoos and his sweet side by him holding her. I also love the font and the way the title is set up. It's not covering the two and it is out of the way but set up in a way that still begs for attention. This cover leaves me with no doubt that this will be another emotional and swoony story written by McGarry!

Cover of the Day: The House of Hades

The House of Hades (Heroes of Olympus, #4)

This cover was recently released this past week and I am soooooo extremely happy with it! The colors look amazing all swirled together. The silhouettes of Annabeth and Percy are making me nervous as they stumble into the dark with all the bats and scary looking trees. I also like the font the title is in. It may seem a little plain, but I feel that it fits with the busy cover picture.

Cover of the Day: All Our Yesterdays

All Our Yesterdays

At first I started to just leave the picture and say "Enough Said," because I feared I wouldn't be able to do this justice. I'm still not sure what all I want to say... I love the dark background and the bright sundial and font. The skyline is another huge reason why I love the cover. It's not something that exactly stands out, but it isn't overlooked either. I also love the font that the title and author's name are in. It's clean and it doesn't take over the rest of the cover. This cover is gorgeous, it would take me all day to say what all I loved about it!

Cover of the Day: The End Games by T. Michel Martin

The End Games

This cover is gorgeous! Well creepily gorgeous, but still gorgeous! Its about zombies, and the outline of them there at the top in the tree branches is really cool. The deep red coloring makes it really scary too. The desolate road and the two boys traveling down it make me wonder where they're going and how they're surviving. Plus, I love Love LOVE the font the title is in. It makes the cover even more creeptastic. (Yes I said creeptastic lol)

Hardcover vs Paperback

Today I'm going to try something new for me! I always do Cover of the Days and Series Spotlights, but I haven't seen a Paperback vs Hardcover done yet! So, here's one to give some variety! And this one not only has a different cover, but a different TITLE too!

The Memory of After (The Memory Chronicles, #1)vs Level 2 (The Memory Chronicles, #1)
                         Paperback                                                                Hardcover

Me personally, I haven't read it yet, but I like certain things about both covers. The paperback looks more grown up for the YA genre. But the hardcover makes it seem like its filled with action and the font is so pretty and in your face like "BOO YAH!" lol

Cover of the Day: Unhinged by A.G. Howard

Unhinged (Splintered, #2)

What can I say besides the fact that this cover is absolutely gorgeous?! The blue and purple are soooooo pretty together and the green gives it that extra pop. The moth that played a huge part in the first part of this story is back and lets us know exactly who this character is. But my favorite part of the cover is all the small details, like the bugs and tattoo on his face. They give it so much more "umph."

Cover of the Day: Erased by Jennifer Rush

Erased (Altered, #2)

This Saturday's cover of the day belongs to Erased by Jennifer Rush. I love this cover! He has this super intent look on his face and let's be honest....... HE'S GORGEOUS! lol I also love the bright orange font. It really sticks out on the black, white, and gray cover. And if you've read the first installement to this series, you'l understand why this is such a great cover. All the boys in this series are AMAZING.

Cover of the Day: If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin

If He Had Been With Me

I love this cover because it shows so much emotion. With her squatting in the rain near that puddle, you can't help but feel how distraught she is. And the title itself is written in a font that looks as if she wrote it herself, like in a journal entry. Everything about this cover makes me want to dive in and find out her journey to this place in the street and the emotion behind it.

Cover of the Day!

I'm super sorry for posting so late. I'm losing track of my days smh! I literally thought today was Friday :\ But better late than never right?!
Wild Awake

Cover of the Day belongs to:

I love this cover because of all the bright colors. The orange and purple will definitely stand out on the shelf. And the girl who is dancing and twirling her hair looks like she's having a ball. I found myself wondering if that scene is actually in the book and why she's doing it. And then in the background the city's skyline is pretty too. It stands out on its own, but doesn't hog all the attention from the girl.
So what do you think about this cover?

Cover of the Day: Control by Lydia Kang

Control

First I want to start with the color scheme. Purple and blue always work together. And the fact that they're illuminated with the light is making it even better. Then I love the fact that its so simple but gives a little insight into the title. The font for the title is cool too. I like the way its scripted and not just simply written across the front.

Series Spotlight: The Starcrossed Trilogy

This week I wanted to try something different! I wanted to show you all one of the series that I LOVE for just the covers alone! I'm hoping they don't change them as the paperbacks come out, because I really love the way they are now! This week I chose to spot light the Starcrossed series by Josephine Angelini.

Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1)Dreamless (Starcrossed, #2)Goddess (Starcrossed, #3)

I chose this series because every last one has an AMAZING color scheme. And the hard copies all have a shimmery finish that makes them stand out even more. But my favorite one is the cover for Goddess. I love how the green fades to blue, to purple. It looks so pretty. Lastly, there's the girl that's featured on the cover. I normally don't like girls and flowy dresses on covers, but with these novels being about Greek mythology, I think it kind of fits!

So what do you think about this series?

Cover of the Day: That Time I Joined the Circus

Hey guys, sorry for no post last Saturday, but I was deathly sick! I couldn't even find it in me to read a book or post on my own personal book blog! But this week I'm back in action!

That Time I Joined The Circus

This cover just screams "Interesting story inside! Pick me up!" I love how it has an actual circus pictured on the front. Complete with elephants and big top tents and all! It makes you  think how big a part the circus actually plays in the story. And the lights towards the bottom and the stars toward the top seem to make the book sparkle a little. It makes it stand out even more than it already does. Don't think less of me when I say this, but I don't need to read the synopsis at all, I'll be buying this one just because the cover is so pretty to look at ;)
