US vs. UK: The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)

I've been a huge fan of The Hunger Games' US cover since I first read the book. On the other hand, I can't say I'm much of a fan of the UK take. It's a little bit crowded for me. However, I really like the UK's font—it has that edgy look to it. Overall, I think my biggest issue with the UK cover is the loss of the mockingjay symbol—I adore that book-to-cover tie-in.

Let me know if you prefer the US cover like myself, or if you think the UK has it right!

  1. As I'm live in the UK, I have seen many versions here, and in all honesty I have never seen that one! I have the version of just the Mockingjay! Maybe that was the Film version! LOL! But in this cover, I'm definitely a US Cover Fan! :D

    1. Hmm, really? I remember when those came out—they were supposed to look more mature and help bring in adult readers, but so far as I knew the one above was the UK cover before that. (Being as I don't live in the UK, I only have the internet to get info like that from, haha.) Thanks for your UK input! (:

  2. Nice post! reminds me of my won Cover vs Cover!
    ( prefer the Uk cover)
I would suggest you do a poll instead of a comment for counting votes.
    (Polldaddy has some good ones)

    1. Thanks for letting me know! We're not really trying to have a competition between the two covers, and I love hearing from other bloggers, which is why we use comments instead of polls. But thanks for the suggestion! (:
