Cover of the Day: The Juliet Spell

The Juliet Spell by Douglas Rees

My favorite thing about this cover is the selective coloring. I absolutely love how the entire image is black & white except for the girl’s pink sneakers that match with the pink of the title.

The angle of the shot is also very interesting; it makes you feel as if you are walking along behind them. The way the couple appears slightly diagonal with the tops of their heads cut off extends the action of the image outside of the frame.

Any thoughts?

  1. Love this cover!
Already so much you can envision the story being about without even reading the synopsis! And yeah, the colour contrast is so pretty, (fan of pink) lol

    1. It really does express the stories idea really well on its own, no synopsis needed! To be honest one of the main reasons I was drawn to this cover was the pink, it's my favorite color! ;) Thanks for stopping by!
