Cover of the Day: Five Flavors of Dumb

Five Flavors of Dumb by Antony John

There's so much going on here—a girl right front and center, a cheering crowd, a rock concert, a brick wall, a big title—and yet it all works together. Personally, I've never seen a concert incorporated into a book cover, so I think it's a really unique aspect to have. The color scheme is really great, too. Even little details like the pulled-back sticker that has the author's name on it really add to the cover.

Your thoughts?

  1. Amazing cover, and yeah, the sticker theme is really creative! I loved it but the cover does not give me any idea of what the book is about? That's a bit of a letdown....

    1. Hi Soma! Cheyenne is out of town (or internet service), so I'm holding down the fort (with Amanda)! Normally, because it's her cover, Cheyenne would answer back, so don't be surprised if she comes back and answers this. :)
      The stickers are awesome!
I think this book is actually about a music tour, that one girl is following. Does that make sense? It is kind of a letdown, it could be about anything. :)

  2. The thing I like best about this cover is that it's not like every other cover out there right now. (And I love that title.) If I came across this at the library I would definitely pick it up to learn more.
