This set of look-alikes I found completely by chance. I was sorting through books at a book sale and spotted The Third Angel, which just so happened to have an image I knew very well—the same picture I'd seen dozens of times on my iPod, on the cover of Secondhand Serenade's album. (You might know Fall For You by Secondhand Serenade, which was pretty popular about a year ago.)
Do you guys like the coloring on the album better than the book, too? The Third Angel's cover is a little too technicolor for me. But I like how you can see the strand of lights on the book cover, whereas, on the album, the strand is just kind of a background thing.
So this is probably one of the stranger look-alike sets I've found: a book to an album; but it's not the only book I've seen that's crossed images with something strange. Stay tuned!
Interesting. I'm following you now. My blog is http://roxannebland.com
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'll go check out your blog! (:
DeleteInteresting! I hope the creator ... the graphic artist recieved payment for both. My daughter (who has been my editor forever) has just created a cover for my next effort, "Jake's Justice" and I love it. Hope I get to use it. And I hope she gets more work because of it.

It's really interesting to me to see how one image can be so completely changed based on what it needs to be and who is working on it. Thanks for stopping by! (:
DeleteI think I prefer the bright colours of the novel - I think it would catch my attention before it's greyed out companion. I don't know that I would have noticed that they were the same image if you hadn't pointed it out though!

I think I might be biased towards the album cover since I knew it first. ;) Thanks for commenting! (:
