Dark Companion by Marta Acosta
I saw this book for the first time the other day, and I think it's got quite a mysterious cover. It made me think of all kinds of questions like, "Who is that girl?" and "Who is the dark companion?" and "Who thinks that a white floor-length dress is forest attire?"
Obviously, I want to read it so all of my questions will be answered.

Hello! Thank you for sharing this. I think the cover is mysterious but the title font is little bit off, don't you think? I mean the font looks cutesy and all but the title is not cute at all. Er... sorry, I think I'm running out of words to describe it! Haha.

Yeah, I agree with you about the font; it's definitely cutesy, but that doesn't seem to be the theme the author was shooting for. I like the glow the text has, though.
