Cover of the Day: Cruel Beauty

Cruel Beauty
Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

I love the way the rose and the stairs blend together. It took me a moment to realize what it was (I thought it was some sort of metal at first), but then I saw the girl in red running and... yeah, it's made much more sense when I zoomed in :)

So what do you think about the cover?

Cover of the Day: Champion

Champion (Legend, #3)
Champion by Marie Lu

Oh yeah, I seriously hope the book is as awesome as its cover! I love this cover mainly because it's symbolic and I'm a big fan for symbolic covers. Whoever did the artwork here is amazing. The colors, the rose, the bullet hole, it's simple, but perfect.

Cover of the Day: The Shade of the Moon

The Shade of the Moon (The Last Survivors, #4)
The Shade of the Moon by Susan Beth Pfeffer

I really love all the covers in this series. The moon is a big part of it (literally), but I also adore the colors. The blues and the yellows mix nicely. Even the way the title is all lowercase looks amazing.

Cover of the Day: Once We Were

Once We Were (The Hybrid Chronicles, #2)
Once We Were by Kat Zhang

I love the simplicity of this cover. The title is loud and clear and the color definitely matches. I also love the color of her eye. That's probably the main reason I love this cover. It's like a stormy gray. I'm so jealous. :)

Cover of the Day: Siege and Storm

Siege and Storm (The Grisha, #2)
Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

I adored the cover for Shadow and Bone, and I totally think the cover for this one is a perfect contrast. It just screams EPIC! The title is beautiful, both the font and the coloring. I love the way the clouds are formed behind the castle-like structure and it makes it even better that the towers are highlighted in red while the rest is black.

Cover of the Day: Across a Star-Swept Sea

Across a Star-Swept Sea (For Darkness Shows the Stars, #2)
Across a Star-Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund

I LOVE the concept here. The mixture of blues are completely stunning. Her dress is awesome and I love how it mixes with the water like silk. I think the title could have been placed better, but the font fits perfectly. Truly, I hope the story is just as beautiful as the cover. :)

Cover of the Day: The Chaos of Stars

The Chaos of Stars
The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White

I love how simple yet beautiful this cover is. The background is breathtaking and I love the designs on the corners. The colors are perfect for each other too. Blue and gold? Match made in heaven :)
Besides, who doesn't love a cover where the title takes up just about the entire room.? It makes it easier for me to see it.

Cover of the Day: The Clockwork Scarab

The Clockwork Scarab (Stoker & Holmes, #1)
The Clockwork Scarab by Colleen Gleason

Classical. I love everything about this cover. It might not be very original, but I'm can't stop looking at it. It's got a comfortable, yet magical feeling to it. The colors blend easily. Her finger-less gloves are awesome! And the title is nicely placed where it doesn't interfere with the image. Love it!

Cover of the Day: Cold Spell

Cold Spell (Fairytale Retellings, #4)
Cold Spell by Jackson Pearce

I love the twisted fairy-tale feeling of this cover. It's got all the signs: the shattered mirror, the ravens, the thorns, and the falling snow. The cover and the title are a perfect duo too. Cold Spell? Yeah, the cover looks downright chilly. It reminds me of Snow White and the Huntsman.

Cover of the Day: Vessel

Vessel
Vessel by Sarah Beth Durst

What's not to love about this cover? The title is transparent! I never knew that would be a wonderful characteristic for a cover, so I'm really impressed. The model looks fierce and beautiful at the same time. The  colors are a perfect fit. The moon and the sand add a mystical touch. I'm in awe. :)

Cover of the Day: Bang

Bang (Visions, #2)
Bang (Visions #2) by Lisa McMann

Where to start? Okay, so mainly, I love the eye. The green blend is beautiful, and the way it looks like a bullet shot through glass just makes me wonder what happened. It's mesmerizing. But I also love how the title doesn't get in the way. It's comfortably placed just below the eye, and you can easily see both things at once.

Cover of the Day: The Lives We Lost

The Lives We Lost (Fallen World, #2)
The Lives We Lost by Megan Crewe

I love the cover mainly because the title takes up most of the space, and instead of being one solid color, the title holds most of the background. It's lovely in light blue too, and the falling snow gives it a dreamy look.
It's simple, but eye-catching.

Cover of the Day: Indelible

Indelible
Indelible by Dawn Metcalf

A burning, metallic rose. How does that not sound cool? It's perfect!
I love the different shades of oranges used to color the flower, and how the edges are burnt. The dark background makes a good contrast. The title is in a good position too. It doesn't get in the way.

Cover of the Day: Dare You To

Dare You To (Pushing the Limits, #2)
Dare You To by Katie McGarry

I just had to do this one. The moment I saw it I was all like O_O
Why do I like this cover? It's epic! The title's positioning makes it even more epic. I like the way the font looks worn out, or maybe it's just dirt splattered on it. But above anything else, I love the way the models are positioned, especially since they're both wet. They both look rebellious and utterly in love.

Cover of the Day: What Lies Beneath

What Lies Beneath
What Lies Beneath by Richard Denney

I chose this one, because (besides the fact that I saw the movie What Lies Beneath with my brother just this morning) it's really super creepy and I got the chills just by looking at it. I usually don't get that feeling, so I decided to show it off for actually giving me goose bumps (part of that is because she's in a large body of water and... uh... Jaws.) I like the eerie feeling it's emitting. But... uh... I'm just gonna look away now. Yeah.

What do you think?
Does it give you the chills too?

Cover of the Day: Beauty

Beauty
Beauty by Nancy Ohlin

Simple and yet classy. It reminds me of Beauty and the Beast, with the rose and the forest and the title. It definitely stood out to me when I saw it. It's just the strange combination of the beautiful dress, the withering rose, and then the murky background. The twist is captivating.
And besides, I love Beauty and the Beast! :)

Cover of the Day: Falling Away

Falling Away (Falling, #2)
Falling Away by Devon Ashley

I was captivated by the swirling colors. Blue and purple work magic on this cover, and her dress is just gorgeous! The frills on the edges, the ribbons, the colors, the entire design itself is amazing *dreamy stare*. And the font is pretty cool too. I like the way it looks like its 'falling away', makes sense. :)

Cover of the Day: Ink

Ink (The Paper Gods, #1)
Ink by Amanda Sun

When I first saw this cover, I couldn't stop staring at it. I love the way the outline of the face was drawn and how her eyes were nicely accentuated in blue. I also love how the ink is left hanging so it sort of drips down the page. And the blossoms are beautiful, just beautiful. I'm so jealous now :)

Cover of the Day: The Pirate's Wish

The Pirate's Wish (The Assassin's Curse, #2)
The Pirate's Wish by Cassandra Rose Clarke

What caught my eye? The sort-of Arabic theme. It reminds me of Aladdin, and I'm an Aladdin junkie so I was naturally captivated. Besides, the mixture of oranges give the cover a soothing touch, like sunsets do (even though there's a giant monster right smack in the middle of the desert). And the title's font looks like beautiful calligraphy, I'm honestly jealous at how gorgeous it came out to be. *dreamy sigh*

Cover of the Day: Impostor

Impostor

Impostor by Susanne Winnacker

I love everything about the cover. The eyes are gorgeous (doesn't the brown eye look like a cat's?). You can definitely see the contrast between the skin tones of two different people. The way the cover is shattered into pieces and put back together so it looks like one person is impressive. I get an eerie feeling just by looking at it. The title and cover are perfect for each other.
