Cover of the Day: Hold Still

Hold Still by Nina LaCour

There is just something so freeing about this image, I can practically feel the wind on my face when looking at this cover.

There's so much fluidity and movement happening here. My favorite aspect is that even the title looks as if it's moving along, leaving a faint shadow in its wake.

What do you think?

  1. The Cover is so what made me read this book! I don't remember the writing being as pretty as the cover, though. I completely love the shadow effect too! :D

  2. Awe, I love this! And I agree that the text effect is beautiful—it really succeeds in making the whole cover have that same "in motion" feel.

And those two fonts? Gor. Geous.

    1. When looking for a high resolution of this I found that there are two different versions, one with the authors name in the same font as the title and then this one with the beautiful cursive. I totally had to use the one with the cursive =)
