Cover of the Day: The Forsaken

It's not often that you see a girl's head made up of trees, a satellite dish and multicolored lines. This cover TOTALLY wowed me the first time I saw it a few months ago and I keep coming back to it; it's that type that you always discover something new about it every time you look closely.

Usually, artwork that has too many things going on with it is a turn-off for me, but I think The Forsaken by Lissa M. Stasse manages to do just that without being too overbearing or in-your-face. It's a study in contrast I find very interesting because it directly addresses the subtext of nature vs technology, which is an issue in dystopian fiction today (for the most part) and another point I'd like to make: you can instantly tell it's a YA dystopian.
